Breaking
News.....After over a year of planning, discussions, and permitting, I
am excited to announce that the fixed ropes will be EPIC! A 100'
high zip line off a cliff and a 100' high ascent back up! Handheld
ascenders will be provided to the teams who do not have their own.
If you have your own, you may use them. I apologize for the late
up-date. If you only knew what I have gone through to bring the
absolute best fixed ropes in adventure racing to the Thunder Rolls!

The Course......
The 8th annual "Thunder Rolls", 12 and 24 hour

This years course will be in the beautiful and historic Rock River

valleys and scenic bluffs, was
the home of Potawatomi and Winnebago Indian tribes. The nearby
Stillman Valley in 1832 was the site of the first of the Black Hawk Wars

wildlife, birds, and many challenges.
The expedition style, unsupported race will
involve paddling, trail running/trekking, mountain biking, navigation,
coasteering, pack rafting and rope work.
The 50 or 100 mile course is located in state
forests, state parks, Historic sites, and private lands.
Valuable prizes will be presented to the winners
in the following divisions: 12 and 24 Hour, 2 and 3 person coed, 2
